I'm making a book! (Part 1)

I'm currently working on writing and illustrating a children's book called A Machine to Share Dreams. I'm going to try working on the book during my lunch breaks. Beats doomscrolling, right?

While I've done a lot of graphic design work in the past, I've never gone through this process before. I figure I'm going to need to:

  1. Write the thing
  2. Come up with a style and color palette
  3. Block out the illustrations
  4. Actually make and color the illustrations
  5. Figure out how to format everything for print

Here's the (work in progress) cover:

I suppose I need to add my name on there. Also I'm realizing that the font looks too close to the Bridgerton font which is not the vibe I'm chasing. I'll share more as I go.

I should upload a time lapse video for some pages. Adobe Fresco lets you export them out which is pretty cool.
